With this exhibition of over 400 works, which exemplifies 30 historical and contemporary artistic-photographic positions, Die Photographische Sammlung/SK Stiftung Kultur offers a broad insight into the spectrum of the museum’s own holdings. During the current exhibition period, the focus will be on the central themes of “Portrait, Landscape, and Botany”. In a second exhibition period, which will follow in the fall, the closely related areas of “Urban Life, Architecture, and Industry” will come to the fore, with a variety of references to be discovered between the presentations. Die Photographische Sammlung thus enters the 25th year of its exhibition program in Cologne’s Mediapark, which began in 1997 under the trend-setting title “Comparative Conceptions.”
